It is possible to ‘lose all sense of God’s nearness and love’ – not because of any known sin, but through physical weakness, mental exhaustion, or loneliness of sorrow and suffering … It’s possible to be seeking an experience of God, instead of God Himself – seeking Him without, whilst He is within.
