The preacher needs a companion when he stands in the pulpit. His resources need to be multiplied when he proclaims the Word of Life. Yes, there are many who can make conquests in the league of prayer. In this way Onesimus was a part of Paul. Aquila was a part of Apollos. And any Christian can be a part of any great ‘kingdom’ warrior in the field of life. Prayer by those ‘at home base’ is the appointed means by which God’s arm of love reaches out to the crying needs of His servants.
Therefore, vital prayer is not just a word – it is an act.
